wowww, i really enjoyed every bit of this game. i love the watercolor art and as a watercolor artist myself it's really cool seeing it be used in video games! i could see how this would be a great game for children as well, but i enjoyed it as an adult. the story is pretty deep and emotional and it definitely had sad moments, but it was cute and wholesome overall! i love the scene of lighting up the city windows at night, that was really beautiful. very unique game and i can't wait for more!
What a beautiful game! I liked the puzzles and the story. The atmosphere is created by a background made from a watercolor sheet. As I played, I could almost hear the rustle of paper! After finishing the game, I felt at ease. I wish you good luck and new creative discoveries.
Love, love, love the art and aesthetic--I can't believe you hand drew all the lettering! Is "I wish a warm light would turn on in our kitchen" the end, currently? That's as far as it went for me.
fyi the sides of the game were a little cut off for me - i could still play fine but the pinwheel was only half visible most of the time (might be something that can be fixed in Unity’s export settings?)
This was such a sweet story and I loved all the puzzles! The illustrations are lovely to look at and it had the right bit of emotion to it as well, leaving me wonder what will happen next after the "to be continued". Are the other blackbird games you have a continuation of this one? Or are they all standalone? (I plan to play them soon, but if they continue, I hope to play in the right order ^^)
Out of curiousity: Was this changing the analytics (page requests or gameplays) for your games page? I can imagine itch.io start page has a lot of traffic and it should change the visits traffic for your game quite significantly for a certain period.
Actually I didn't see it myself on the start page, I think the game suggestions change frequently, so it wasn't there for long time or not for everybody. But can't really say how it works

Can't you just scroll down and skip like 98% of the game, without actually playing the game along the storyline?
